About
Carstairs Elementary School (CES) is a Kindergarten to Grade 4 school serving over 450 students. At CES we focus on the whole child, celebrate success and nurture lifelong learning. CES is a welcoming school where children are learning, developing citizenship and contributing to community. It is staffed by a group of caring and compassionate people who love kids. Melissa Copley represents our school as a trustee at the Board of Education in Chinook's Edge. Throughout our school there is an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm that reminds us that learning is fun! Our Motto is "Care, Explore, Succeed!" Here are some unique programs and opportunities offered at CES: Focus on literacy and numeracy, Literacy Intervention Program for students in Kindergarten to Grade 4, Kindergarten programs with full-time educational assistants, Performance assemblies by each grade level, Full-time specialist teacher for music and physical education, Comprehensive supports for students with special needs, Strong community partnerships.
